Memorable ball with his bat and spikes

On display: A ball hit by Nakajima in the final game of 2009 WBC
The ball is one of the 2009 WBC artifacts donated recently by MLB. On June 17, 2009, Hiroyuki Nakajima, shortstop of the Saitama Seibu Lions, autographed the memorable ball at Tokyo Dome (photo left with Kenzo Takagi, Management Director of BHFM).
On March 23, 2009, in the top of the 3rd inning of the final game of 2009 WBC, he beat out an infield hit. Ogasawara came up and lined a hit to right, scoring Nakajima for the first run. The opposing pitcher was Jung Keun Bong, the starter for Team Korea.

The other WBC artifacts newly sent to our Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum are:
1 Champagne Bottle from the final
1 Base - 2nd Base from Japan vs Cuba: Round 2, Game 1
1 Jersey - Abe Road Jersey worn during Final Game
1 Line Up Card - China vs Japan. First Game of the tournament - signed by Hara.
