Tuesday, December 12, 2006 through Monday, February 12, 2007
At Exhibition Hall in the Baseball Museum

Pro baseball in the 1980s marked a new age with the retirement of Sadaharu Oh in 1980, following Shigeru Nagashima's in 1974. It enjoyed great popularity among baseball fans with an abundance of both veteran players of distinctive character and rising players. The upcoming exhibition will showcase pro baseball in the 1980s by displaying artifacts used by prominent players in these days.
They are: Hiromitsu Ochiai (Lotte Orions, now manager of Chunichi Dragons), Akinobu Okada (Hanshin Tigers, now the manager), Tatsunori Hara (Yomiuri Giants, now the manager), Tsutomu Itoh (Seibu Lions, now the manager), followed by Ishige, Kiyohara (Seibu Lions), Kakefu and Bass (Hanshin Tigers), Egawa and Kuwata (Yomiuri Giants), Nishizaki (Nippon Ham Fighters) and Awano (Kintetsu Buffaloes) and many others.
