The Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Friday, June 12, 2009. An exhibition, "Sadaharu Oh and his 50 years of pro baseball career" will be held as the first of five special exhibitions slated to be held in 2009, He made his debut as a pro baseball player in 1959 when the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum was opened to the public.
To be displayed in the coming exhibition are lots of his artifacts ~ memorable balls he hit and bats he used in his active years, memorabilia from 2006 WBC in which he led Team Japan to the first victory and materials related to the days when he managed the Fukuoka SoftBank. Many of exhibits, photos, and records printed on panels will help trace the 50 years of his splendid pro baseball career.
