Induction Ceremony for 2010 Hall of Famers
Preceding the first game of the 2010 Mazda All-Star Game Series at Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome on Friday, July 23, 2010

Osamu Higashio, and the late Shin'ichi Etoh were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in the ceremony held at Fukuoka Yahoo! Japan Dome preceding game 1 of the 2-game 2010 Mazda All-Star Game Series on Friday, July 23, 2010, being watched by a large number of spectators in the stands and all of the All-Stars who stood along the two foul lines in the infield.

Osamu Higashio and Shozo Etoh (representing his brother Shin'ichi) were awarded a replica of their plaques by Ryozo Kato, chairman of the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Then a bouquet presentation was made to Higashio from Koji Akiyama, manager of the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks, and to Etoh from Sadaharu Oh, chairman of the FSH. Higashio made the acceptance speech on behalf of the two Hall of Famers.
