First manager of the Osaka Tigers (1936) and of the Eagles (1937-39). He led the Waseda Nine to 9 victories in TBSL in 12 years (1947-58). He joinedthe front office of the Taiyo Whales, ending as president of Kawasaki Stadium (1973-76).
